More Information

Art Class: Using Colour like Van Gogh Many artists have looked to Van Gogh for his use of colour, including British painter Harold Gilman (1876 – 1919). Gilman was a founder member of the Camden Town Group, after travelling to Paris and discovering artists such as Van Gogh, his colour palette became strikingly exuberant, even though his subject matter remained down to earth. After a short introduction about the work of Harold Gilman, with suggestions on how to add extra colour to your paintings, you’ll have the opportunity to paint your own work from the arrangements set up in the studio. Lee will offer guidance and advice, and be able to answer questions related to the painting process
